Submissions

You can submit content to the Ulwazi Memory database in a number of different ways. We are looking for stories, articles, photographs, documents and audio and video recordings. We are also looking for people who would be interested in editing grammatical as well as content errors.  Create an account and edit the page directly by clicking the edit button.

Adding a page through the Wiki
The Ulwazi Memory database has been created using the MediaWiki framework.  This allows you to quickly and easily register an account and create a page. Click here to register an account.

Emailing us
Text, images, audio  and video files can be emailed to us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Attachments should be 10mb or less.

Delivering material to our offices
We are based in the eThewkini Municpal Libraries at  99 Umgeni Road in Durban.  Content can be left at reception for Betsie Greyling. Please include your contact details with the material.  If you would prefer not to leave your materials with us, we can photograph or scan them while you wait.

Our first priest arrived in South Africa in 1934 and was stationed at Inchanga. Ntshongweni was one of the 15 outstations he visited on horseback because that was the only means of transport to those various outstations, around the outskirts of the Valley of Thousand Hills. Before he came here Fr Pfister visited some of these places, and had gathered converts who held their services in Mr & Mrs Khwela’s home.
